HOTEL: Drury Inn and Suites
LOCATION: Cincinnati, Ohio
SUBJECT: Double Queen Room
Here is a nice, clean, decently appointed room. It's what 90% of the country's business travelers hope for. Affordable, clean, but nothing over the top that could get them in hot water with the accounting department. Just because a room falls into this category, doesn't mean we shouldn't use better lighting to show it off. I can't tell you how many times I peruse the internet only to see faded, flat, poorly cropped and badly lit images of very decent rooms.
Hats off to Drury and so many of my other clients who pay a little bit more, and get a lot more for it. This room becomes even more inviting when we angle and splash light to highlight the details of the room. Do you see the pools of light we used to create depth and separation? Pay particular attention to the wall in the back right bottom corner, the painting on the wall, the bed stand, and the carpet on drapes behind the desk and chair. Each of these brighter pools of light help to draw the eye to varying areas of the space, and bring what we consider a much more classy look to the image.
