HOTEL: Encore at the Wynn
LOCATION: Las Vegas, Nevada
SUBJECT: Sleeping Area, Deluxe Suite
The great thing about Steve Wynn is he never ceases to amaze us with his intricate weaving of artistry and technology. Both The Wynn and Encore at the Wynn are marvels of modern engineering and at the same time very easy on the eyes. Form follows function as we experience a television (HD of course) that allows us to order room service, tickets for events, make reservations for restaurants, and well... watch those good 'ol pay-per-view movies. To top it off, the mini-bar is pressure sensitive. No guess work is included when you take out a Coke. Pull that puppy off its perch for more than 30 seconds, and you've bought it, courtesy of a master computer plugged into that miniature icebox.
Back to the artistry. The thread count in the sheets is... um, well... a LOT. As if I would know. All I can say it has to be the most comfortable sleep I've had in some time. And whether its Egyptian cotton or plucked from the fields of Mississippi, it both looks and feels like pure sleep.
Speaking of the bedding, notice on the photo the soft white tones and faint stripes on the duvet. As all laundered items can be, even being the highest quality, some wrinkles, lines, and uneven areas are bound to appear. Again, this was a real challenge to completely smooth out to a near perfect degree. It took careful coordination of both lighting technique and Photoshop work to make this image successful.
