SUBJECT: Pool Area at Dusk

Consider the images that most drive the desire to stay at a destination resort, and water features have to be near the top - especially inviting, imaginative pool areas that aid in relaxation and comfort of the guest. At the Hilton Los Cabos, the shimmering infiniti pool cascades gently down to the sea, enticing guests to lounge poolside for hours on end.

What's even more amazing, is the aura the pool area gives off at different times of the day. The image seen here is the infiniti pool during at dusk. While this pool area is peaceful all hours of the day, it has an especially tranquil vibe as the sun slips over the horizon.

The play between sky, water, and palm trees allows the eye to wander the image. Again a right-heavy composition, the story is told by allowing those elements to have some play, and temp the potential guest into daydreaming about being in that scene.

While this may look like a natural occurring image, it took a careful number of exposures at varying color temperatures to create this image. Also, one of the floating lanterns had blown out. Since we had very little daylight left to deal with, time was of the essence. Instead of taking the time to relight the lantern, we found it easier to recreate in Photoshop after the fact.
