SUBJECT: Hotel Pool

Two great things in New Braunfels, Texas. Well, I'm sure there are many more great things, but I was only there for a couple of days. First, the New Braunfels Smokehouse. Vegetarians need not apply. You get my point. Second, water parks. And more water parks. Did I mention water parks? Why did I mention this and what does it have to do with the photo?

Well, the smokehouse has nothing to do with the photo, although it was responsible for keeping me well nourished over the course of the shoot. But the water parks? They were my friend. The reason? Thanks to the water parks, I had a clear shot and accessibility to shoot the hotel pool without clearing out guests first. From early in the morning until sunset - hardly a soul would approach the pool, as the families were out enjoying the water parks. The crazy thing is that after sunset, these kids would come back to the hotel after a long day at the water park and head for... you guessed it - the pool!
