SUBJECT: Small Meeting Room

Like I said before, not all meeting rooms are created alike. That's why I posted two images from the same hotel back to back. The smaller meeting rooms pose a challenge similar to any smaller room, a lack of space from which to create depth and separation in lighting and composition. This image, for example is a beautiful large table lined with very stylish chairs. Roll any of these chairs more than three feet, and you'll hit the wall!

We use a very wide angle lens to accomplish coverage, and then take special care with the lighting. Notice some of the brighter spots on the cream colored wall down where the chairs and table are. By accenting the lighting where clashing objects converge, we can create depth in the image. Also notice the highlights on the chairs, bringing out the black weave texture. This gives the viewer more visual information, and a feel for the quality of the room that flat lighting could not accomplish.
