HOTEL: The Fairmont Acapulco Princess

LOCATION: Acapulco, Mexico

SUBJECT: Carlos Moya, ATP Tennis Pro, Fashion Shoot

Alright - I know most photographers don't have groupies - especially those who specialize in hotel and resort photography. This, however, was a first. We were assigned to photograph Spanish ATP Tennis Pro Carlos Moya in a series of images to be shot on location at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess property - an assignment that brought out the groupies. Yes, we had groupies - by proxy - but groupies none the less!

Carlos was a very humble and personable guy. But to women around the world, he was known as a smokin' hot dude. As my assistant and I changed our lighting from location to location throughout the property, we had a number of very attractive ladies following us. Well, maybe they were following Carlos... we didn't really ask.

We'd heard from our clients that Carlos could be a bit camera shy. We put our opposition, er, subject research into play and found out that Carlos has a favorite band by the name of Cafe Quinano. A short amount of time on the iTunes store yielded us with a great soundtrack from which to play while Carlos was photographed. He was not expecting it - but as soon as the camera started clicking, our iPod started cranking Cafe Quinano tunes. Carlos and his Spanish Smile shined for the camera. Oh, and the grounds of the Fairmont Acapulco Princess are absolutely stunning!
