SUBJECT: Sunrise at China Beach

Another blessing by Mother Nature, if only we could take credit for such a beautiful sunrise. We can, however, take credit for shooting it in a way that brought out detail and subtlety. An exposure such as this simply would be impossible to capture in a single image. By layering our exposures and blending them in Photoshop, we were able to bring out some detail in the trees and foreground that would have been lost had we exposed only for the sky.

Likewise, had we exposed only for the detail in the foreground, the sky would have been washed out and the colors muted beyond usability. Images such as this, when paired with solid interior photography, provide for a solid foundation in marketing any property.

China Beach was a great area, and we were able to experience it prior to a large influx of tourists and development, which is currently underway. The beach was filled with locals at 5:30 in the morning. Most were exercising, but some were playing volleyball and simply enjoying the morning color.
